WE ARE MOVING THE NEEDLE
WORK SAMPLES
These examples will show my music production work at two key periods of time.
First, here’s the EP I wrote, recorded, mixed, and mastered by myself and released in 2011. I applied the production skills I was gaining at the time through my music studies at Salem State University.
In 2026, I’m committed to picking up my production skills again and expounding on them.
Here are a few songs that I’m working on right now.
“Gospel” is an original song I’m in the process of recording. This is a good example of the double-tracked main vocals (à la Elliott Smith, a big influence of mine) I’m starting to integrate into some of my songs, as well as my recent experiments with recording vocals further away from and closer to my mic (e.g. the soft pre-choruses and screamed word “No” prior to one of the hooks).
“When I Think Of New York” is another original song I’ve completed recording and am in the process of producing and mixing, and demonstrates the dreamy, layered live instruments and effects I enjoy adding into songs. This track currently has midi piano, but I’ve recorded live piano to replace it, and have been pitch correcting and using Flex Time to fix the tempo in certain sections.
This is a cover song (original here, for reference) I’m recording and producing in a more pop-punk style than my typical original music, but it also only live instruments. I’ll be recording more electric guitar, as well as bass, and am currently in talks with a Black female drummer to track live drums.
